Delete your account
Deleting your Unhold account removes your data from our systems. Here is exactly how to do it, and exactly what happens.
Who this covers
This page is for Unhold account holders — anyone who signed up to run the chat widget and manage an AI agent, including through the Unhold apps for Android and iOS. Unhold is operated by Broadifi Tech Private Limited.
Delete from the app or dashboard
Go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This works the same in the mobile apps and the web dashboard, and starts deletion immediately.
Delete by email
Email privacy@unhold.chat with the subject “Delete my account”, sent from the email address registered to your account. We verify it is really you, then run the same deletion. Either way, deletion completes within 30 days.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted: your profile, your knowledge base, every document, image, and voice note you uploaded, and the conversations we hold for you.
- Backups: deleted data leaves encrypted backups within 90 days.
- Kept: only the limited records the law requires us to retain (for example, invoices for tax purposes), for the statutory period.
Leaving the waitlist
If you only joined the waitlist, one email to privacy@unhold.chat removes you — there is no account to delete.
If you chatted with a widget on someone’s website
Those conversations belong to the website owner who runs the widget — they are the controller of that data. Send your deletion request to them; we assist them under our Data Processing Addendum. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help route your request.
